Strategic Plan Implementation Update: April, 2025

Dear Colleagues,

First, we encourage you to for the Tuesday, May 13 (1:15–3 p.m. in Kagin; light snacks will be provided) session that the Curriculum Implementation Committee (CIC) will use to build on significant community feedback following their presentation of three preliminary models to the community at the January 21 curriculum retreat.

Second, we are happy to share dates for next year’s Strategic Plan Implementation (SPI) sessions

The topics, dates, and format of the gatherings were established following review of the communications and employee engagement surveys, as well as conversation with the Senior Leadership Team and other community members. You can add the event to your Google Calendar by following the link provided.

  1. – Community Conversation with President Suzanne M. Rivera. 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.; no lunch. Employees and students
  2. – Presentation and Discussion about Macalester’s Benefits Program. 11:30 a.m.–1p.m. with lunch. Employees
  3. – Strategic Plan Implementation Session. 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. with lunch. Employees
  4. – Afternoon – Strategic Plan Implementation Retreat. 12-5 p.m. with lunch. Employees
  5. – Community Conversation with President Suzanne M. Rivera and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). 11:30–12:30 p.m. No lunch. Employees and students
  6. – Budget Presentation with the Vice President of Administration and Finance. 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. with lunch.  Employees
  7. – “Summer Kickoff”” Coffee Hour. 10-11:30 a.m. with coffee and light breakfast items. Employees
