The Macalester website includes both centrally maintained content (managed by Communications and Marketing) and content maintained by individual departments and offices.<\/p>\n    \t    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WordPress Classic Editor vs. Block Editor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2018, the open-source WordPress project released their Gutenberg block editor as a replacement for their classic editor. Macalester started using the Gutenberg block editor in 2020 for some sites, with the goal of eventually converting all macalester.edu sites to the Gutenberg block editor.
