International Students are required to carry identification documents at all times. While your passport is an official ID, it\u2019s not always the most convenient or safest option to carry every day. If your passport is lost or stolen, replacing it can be difficult, costly, and time-consuming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting a state ID or driver\u2019s license gives you a secure, widely accepted form of identification that\u2019s easier to carry and replace if needed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since May 7, 2025, every air traveler 18 years of age or older needs a REAL ID compliant driver’s license or identification card or passport to fly within the United States or enter federal facilities<\/strong>. You may choose to apply for a standard <\/strong>(you will need a passport to board a plane) or “REAL ID”<\/strong> card\/license (you can use the REAL ID to board a plane).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
