Cristina Silva Gleason is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology in the Educational Studies Department at ÈÕº«¾«Æ·. She received a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University and an M.A. in Counseling Education from the University of Minnesota. She is completing her doctoral dissertation in Curriculum & Instruction (Culture & Teaching) at the University of Minnesota. Her research has focused on the lived experiences of K-12 transgender and gender-diverse teachers. Cristina has worked as a licensed school counselor for Minneapolis Public Schools, St. Louis Park Public Schools, and The Blake School. 

Before her career in education, Cristina worked in advertising and as a sports writer for The Boston Globe and USA Today. Cristina grew up in Brazil and Costa Rica and has lived in several U.S. states.
