International Studies Honors Defense: Khant Wai Yan
Join the International Studies Department on Wednesday, March 26th from 11am-1pm in Davis Court to hear the honors defense of I.S. major Khant Wai Yan. The project, titled Martyrs, Dictators, Revolutionaries: Bamar Legitimacy in the Peripheral Paradox, is a critical analysis of Myanmar's postcolonial history and exposes how the fragmented Burmese state systematically maintains power by institutionalizing Bamar supremacy. Light refreshments will be provided.
