MCST Lunch Hour Talk — Erica Dawn Lyle
Please join us for the first MCST Lunch Hour Talk of the spring semester. Free lunch will be provided.
Erica Dawn Lyle is a writer, curator, experimental musician, and cultural instigator who lives in New York City and Florida. The former touring guitarist for Bikini Kill, as a solo performer, Lyle has released musical collaborations with Kim Gordon, The Raincoats, Bernadette Mayer, Kathleen Hanna, and many more. She’ll talk about sustaining a creative life and read from her forthcoming book, Kyanite, fevered conversations with artists, musicians and activists on urgent questions NOW: How has fascism eroded from within the very meaning of the words and concepts we hope to use to fight back against it? What are we left with after an attempt at revolution that comes up short? How are we going to take care of each other?!?
