Uncommon Bodies Symposium
On Feb. 16, 2024, the Uncommon Bodies research group will be holding a symposium on the topic of 鈥淧remodern Disability and Race in a Global Context.鈥 This collaboration between UMN and Macalester brings to the Twin Cities ten scholars (many of whom identify as BIPOC and/or disabled) who have made significant contributions to disability studies, premodern critical race studies, the history of medicine, and theater and performance. The speakers are also brilliant teachers dedicated to making our classrooms more accessible and inclusive. Most events are hybrid. Day 1鈥檚 sessions will be at the UMN and Day 2 at Macalester. You are invited! To learn more and to RSVP, please complete this form: Questions? Email symposium co-organizer Penelope Geng, [email protected].
