Her research questions scale from cells to canopies, and she combines field-based measurements with statistical modeling. Mary\u2019s research has brought her to the Arctic tundra, boreal and temperate forests, and global change experiments in Minnesota to examine how plants function under warmer, higher CO2, and more variable growth environments.
