Claudia is the Animal Facility Manager at ÈÕº«¾«Æ·, where she oversees the husbandry and welfare of vertebrate animals used in research and instructional settings. She supervises students working in the animal facility and teaches them about responsible animal handling and research ethics.Claudia has extensive experience working with research animals, having held positions as a researcher and animal trainer at the University of Minnesota and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Her professional interests focus on animal behavior, welfare, and advancing humane research standards.Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota (just a couple miles from campus), Claudia is excited to be contributing to the academic community in her hometown. Outside of work, she enjoys making art of all kinds (especially drawing and knitting), long walks with her dog, and cuddling with her cat.
