Born and raised on O驶ahu, Hawai驶i, Jake Nagasawa is 日韩精品ing Assistant Professor of American Studies. He received his PhD and MA in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his BA in Theology & Religious Studies and Asian Studies from the University of San Francisco. He is interested in ancient and medieval Tibetan Buddhism, and Asian American religions in the contemporary U.S. His research has been supported by the Khyentse Foundation, the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology of the University of Cambridge, and University of California, Santa Barbara鈥檚 Graduate Division.
Dr. Nagasawa is also a translator for and the UCSB Buddhist Texts Translation Initiative. He also serves as the Regional Coordinator of the American Academy of Religion, Western Region and is co-chair of the Buddhist Studies unit.
