It helps to coalesce my own experiences.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alumni are critical partners in career development at Macalester. While staff provides resources, training, guidance and support, alumni have unique insights on how one \u201cuses\u201d a Macalester degree after graduation. Career Helpers are Macalester alumni who have raised a hand as a potential resource for current students in their career exploration. We are looking for alumni of all ages, experience levels, identities and geographic locations to serve as Career Helpers as we seek to meet the ever-changing needs of our students. Career Helpers serve in a variety of roles, including:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Providing an internship for a Mac student<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sharing job opportunities<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Providing informational interviews<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Host events at your workplace<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conduct mock interviews<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review resumes<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Share career pathways via video<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When the Career Development Center is looking for alumni speakers, panelists and hosts for site visits, they begin with Career Helpers. Career Helpers have a special designation next to their name on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/engage.macalester.edu\/account\/login?r=https%3a%2f%2fengage.macalester.edu%2fportal%2fmacconnect\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MacConnect<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the online alumni directory which is open to all students, that indicates that you are available for informational interviews.
