What is Supplemental Instruction (SI)?<\/p>\n \t <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

The Supplemental Instruction (SI) program consists of peer-facilitated study and review sessions. SI sessions are regularly scheduled, informal review hours in which students compare notes, discuss readings and lectures, work through problems, and predict test questions. Sessions are facilitated by SI Leaders, students who have previously done well in the course and who re-attend all class lectures, take notes, and teach \u201chow to learn\u201d with \u201cwhat to learn\u201d strategies for the course. Attendance is voluntary. SI sessions are offered for selected courses in Chemistry, Biology, and Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n
